[Its been the better part of a week since Reggie moves in, if one didn’t count the time spent underground, and he hasn’t totally flipped out yet. Sure, they’ve mostly stuck to mutual masturbation - at this point Nick is basically trying to key Reggie up a lot before he gives him more - but he’s been pretty open to casual affection.
Which means it’s step two. Which is, incidentally, not sex. Nick is coming home from the only source of magical supplies in this place, with a bag full of dried herbs and a couple of potions he kind of wants to take apart.
He comes into the apartment and finds Reggie.]
Hey, I need to show you something.
[Oh, first: he very softly runs a hand over Reggie’s, warm and slightly possessive. He’s noticed how he responds to casual affection.]

[ so, phones here get hacked sometimes and texts and photos get sent to people they weren't originally sent to, because that's fun, and that's how i want this cr to start. so reggie, out of nowhere, gets this sent to his phone. ..pretend she's blonde. but that, basically. that's it. ]
Can I ask you something and will you promise not to tell anyone that I asked?
[It's late in the afternoon when Lucy is going home, tonight looking just a little more modern in a knee-length blue dress with yellow trim at the sleeves and belt, and her hair up in a crown of braids. She isn't paying attention to where she's going, which is why she is suddenly walking right up next to Reggie.
He's taller than Magnus, and shorter than George, but at some point she reaches up, distracted, and takes his arm.]
Please do not tell me that you are cooking something tonight, Ge-
[And that's when she looks up.]
Oh.
Wait a moment.

What's the difference between organic cleaner and regular cleaner?
There are a couple of new people here from Greendale.
[He didn't really tell Reggie where they were going; it's one of the places that he and Dorian considered buying for the club. But they're at the most likely to become the Gray Room, once Dorian sees it - a space with rooms and doors and winding hallways in the back, and a bar area with a fireplace in the front. Right now it's empty, devoid of anything but a tacky bar - easily converted - and a couple of stools.
Nick opens it and lets Reggie in, turning the lights on.]
What do you think?
[As if Reggie's opinion matters. As if Nick's opinion matters. The only opinion that matters is Dorian Gray, and he'll decide what he wants to do whether Nick likes it or not.
It's really a shame he's not a Dominant.]

hey, where's Nick? We were supposed to hang yesterday and he flaked on me.
Which is weird.
Nick's never just stood him up before.

Nick's never just stood him up before.
[The thing about having a dead friend is that they don't tend to call or text before they show up. They're just around. So one minute Reggie is alone in his apartment and the next Noah is slouching beside him like they've been hanging out all morning.]
You look bummed.
You look bummed.
[It's the middle of the night, but Nick doesn't sleep, and Reggie does, because Nick wakes up late and Reggie wakes up, annoyingly, at five in the morning to for for a jog, like a fucking lunatic. No one in the Church of Night - of Lilith? - wakes up that early, not for any reason, ever. If five needs to be seen, it's on the other side.
Which is why Nick is sitting in Reggie's room when he hears Reggie tossing and turning just a little, and he comes in to hear him mutter something. Nick sits and listens for a minute, before he nudges him awake.]
Reggie.
You're having a nightmare. Wake up.
[He recognizes nightmares. He stays there, watching Reggie wake, and asks, careful.]
Who is Midge, and why is she a moose?

[He took the spice.
He took the spice specifically for Reggie, because he wants Reggie to have the whole world, and he took the spice and was pretty pleased with the results, for all that he's tinier than he's ever been and none of his clothes fit. That's fine, though. He's hot, he knows it, and he doesn't need clothes, not really.
He takes Reggie's letterman jacket, hidden, and he slips it over his new, slim shoulders.
And wears nothing else.
But wow, breasts.
Nick can't help himself, that's the best part of this. He knows that Reggie is almost home when he sits back and waits.]

In an effort not to mince words, I'm just going to come out and ask it.
What do you remember from Riverdale?
What do you remember from Riverdale?
[ He's not going to get on video. Maybe he shouldn't be contacting Reggie right now at all. He's angry, but the anger isn't at what Reggie and Veronica started. Maybe it would have been if he hadn't found his own draw to Reggie before finding out.

hello! if you're receiving this text, it means you've been cordially invited to peter parker's surprise birthday party. as always, this city has the shittiest timing on the planet, so things were still a little rough around his actual birthday. he thinks i'm going to let his "lowkey 18th birthday" plan slide. hah! oh, no no.
i'd like to get a group together to meet at scott's new arcade - time heisters - around 7:30pm on 8/29. i'll bring peter around 8, and we can all game and sing some karaoke and be generally awesome to our favorite nerd. bring a present or just bring yourself, either way, if you're getting this i'm sure he'll be happy just to see you there.
and remember, it's a SURPRISE. which is usually asking for trouble, but whatever. i want to try it.
any questions? ask away. thank you!!

[ It's probably too early in the morning for this but he's awake and processing at the kitchen table, desperately clutching a cooling cup of coffee as if that would have all the answers. Dreams are meant to fade but these cling on in perfect clarity, every breath, every kiss, every moment crystal clear like they just happened. He woke up overwhelmed and sweaty, emotionally sore and now he has to know.
There are a few people he could text but at the end of it, Reggie's the only one he feels would get it, who wouldn't pull him into a conversation he's in no way equipped to handle. The question has been raised and like always, he needs to find an answer to this mystery. Was it real? Was it just a very vivid dream in their heads, something they could just keep quiet about and no one would ever find out? There's only one way to find out. ]

[ And still he hesitates, fingers poised to tap away a message - this should be simple but it's everything but. Regardless of whether the dreams were shared or not, everything has changed drastically between them and he finds himself hoping that Reggie remembers too because living with the knowledge Jughead now has, unable to share it? That would be torture. As much as he wants to forget, leave this in the past, let it fizzle out of his memory, he knows that this is important. He knows that a lot of what happened between them, real or not, meant something.
It's not even about the sex really, though he has a sneaking suspicion that meant something else - no, this is purely about the feeling of spending time with Reggie Mantle because he wanted to. They had fun together, no matter what they did, they understood each other and that has never really happened before even during those rare times when they've gotten along. That's the part that will linger with him the most, get under his skin like a fresh tattoo, a constant reminder of how many things they actually have in common. If Reggie doesn't remember, they can never have that again. ]

[Television is still novel, and Nick doesn't really see the appeal, but Reggie watches some really terrible stuff. It probably doesn't help that the shows here are either straight up porn, or lead in to straight up porn, or the kid's channels. As a result, Reggie has the dog on one side of him and Nick on the other when he starts watching something - Satan only knows what, because about ten minutes into it Nick is curled up, fast asleep with his head on Reggie's lap.
He didn't sleep well through most of the dream sharing stuff, too paranoid that it was going to start - something, who knows, anything. That Lucifer would find a way to speak to the people who Nick loves or cares about. That he would dream with K again, and it would be a disaster.
So this nap is sweet and perfect and when Nick wakes up a little later-]
Shit.
[He looks up and Reggie is still there.]
How long was I out?
